Spring Clean Up

Spring clean up and tine raking are the easiest way to jump start a healthy lawn, and Hansen’s Lawn Care can help you do that.

If your lawn is green on top but brown on the bottom where the blades of grass meet the soil, chances are you have thatch that needs to be removed.

We start off by blowing any debris from inside rock or mulch beds onto your lawn.  Then we power rake or dethatch (as it’s commonly called) your lawn to pull up any dead grass and thatch.  Simultaneously our strong vacuumed powered machines collect all the material and you’re ready for a healthy start for the growing season.

After the dethatching service has been completed another great idea is to over seed your lawn.   Broadcast spread seed in any bare spots or over the entire lawn, this will help thicken your lawn during the growing season.

Along with over seeding after a spring clean up service, fertilization is also recommended to boost the nitrogen levels in the soil.
